The eight most common food allergens (accounting for 90% of allergic reactions) in the US are:
  • Dairy/cow’s milk 
  • Eggs
  • Soy
  • Peanuts
  • Wheat
  • Tree nuts (such as almonds, cashews, walnuts)
  • Fish (such as flounder, cod, bass, salmon)
  • Shellfish (mollusks, such as clams and oysters, and crustaceans, such as shrimp, crab, lobster)
